Kakinada, Jan 21^st: Anganwadi workers and helpers from different mandals has laid siege to the RDO office, demanding the government to solve their problems here on Wednesday. Anganwadies turned in large numbers and demanded the government to abolish the GO Nos 41, 42 and 390 as they would subject them to political harassment. Under the chairmanship of Duvva Sheshu Babji, a large number of workers reached the RDO office on Wednesday and squatted before the main gate and obstructed the entry of the officers into the office.

Under the leadership of project leader Adilakshmi and CITU leader Bibi Naidu, the workers staged dharna at Rajahmundry RDO office. Workers turned out in huge numbers and raised slogans against the government for failing to implement the promises made at the time of elections. The anganwadies has also laid siege to the sub-collector office at Rampachodavaram and obstructed the officers to go with their daily duties. The workers at Eluru have formed the human chain demanding the government to solve their problems. They also warned to intensify the dharna if government delays over the abolition of GO’s.
