In association with Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP), a massive protest was staged at Nagamallitota Junction, Kakinada against increase in petrol price. BJP Senior Leader, Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya had led this protest. Speaking on this, Bandaru Dattatreya said that frequent increase in the prices of essential commodities was leaving the poor and middle class sleepless. He strongly condemned that increasing Rs.5/- per litre is very inadequate. Later, they burnt the effigy of the Congress led UPA Government. Under agitation, they raised slogans against congress party. Other BJP leaders Bikkina Visweswarao, Karri Chitti Babu, NV Sai Baba, Ram Kumar, Raju, Bhaskar and other party activists participated in this protest.
