For the first time in India, Government has started Biometric identification system in the district, which is linked up with Aadhar Numbers to distribute Ration goods. Complete arrangements were made to start this system of distribution from today onwards in 47 ration shops. East Godavari District is one of the 51 Districts in the Country, where Aadhar registration procedure was adopted. Biometric method of ration goods distribution is approved for 47 Mandals in this District where 99% Aadhar registration procedure is completed. The main aim of the government is to implement Aadhar Seeding in every Government Scheme for selecting the righteous person. Mr. Babu our JC made it clear that they are gathering mobile numbers and bank account numbers of all the benificiaries to make them comfortable in all respects. He mentioned that at present we will distribute goods with Point of Sale Instrument based on Aadhar-Ration Cards. If this is successful it would be implemented in all the Ration Shops of the District, he added. JC said that at present Ration Goods given to even those who have not registered for Aadhar Cards but requested them to register and even open a Bank Accounts as soon as possible.
All the person registered in Ration Card should give their finger prints of all the ten fingers on the Point of Sale Instrument. Then only they would be able to take the goods. The list of goods will be displayed, which are allocated to them. After receiving all the listed goods from MLS Point, they should give finger print in the Route Officer point of sale instrument. Ration shop owners and VRO's should also give their finger prints. This will be registered in online where inspection software is created. This software enables Collector to inspect all the details registered. SMS will be sent to the Benificiaries mobiles time to time about the list of goods that are allocated to them. Trail Run of this method was conducted yesterday at Shop No.77 in Rajendra Nagar which comes under Kakinada Urban limits. DSO Mr. Sri Ram, Mr. Prasad, MRO Mr. Rama Murthy, MSO Mr. Setty, Suguna and several others participated in this program.
