Kakinada, Mar 17th: Said to be the first of its kind, the e-attendance program taken up by the East Godavari administration to keep a tab on the attendance of the employees working in government organizations, has been effectively implemented on trail basis in the district in Pithapuram mandal. The same is likely to be implemented in the district starting from revenue departments from the end of this month. Authorities are aiming to extend the program to other departments including education to check the attendance of teachers at schools. Under this process, the employee has to check into the office after putting the thumb impression. The system then immediately records the time of attendance of the particular employ, which can be further checked through a website specially designed for it. The new process is expected to bring a sort of discipline in the attendance of the employees.
