Kakinada V.S.Lakshmi College Principal, Mrs. V.Sandhya started 'BIOFEST - 2010' a 4 day workshop here on Wednesday at V.S.Lakshmi Degree & PG College. This workshop is mainly for the benefit of students of Bio-Technology, Bio-Themistry, Microbiology and Human Genetics. She called up on the students to participate in this workshop to develop their Scientific Knowledge. Total 45 Students from 6 Districts participated on the first day of fest.  In the Morning Fest, Quiz Competitions were conducted and for these, Pithapuram CBR College secured first prize, Aditya Women’s College stood at the place and Pithapuram Government College was awarded third prize. In the Afternoon Fest, Chemistry Competitions on the topic ‘Application of Analytical Techniques in Chemical Analysis’ were conducted  and for these, V.S.Lakshmi Women’s Degree College achieved first prize, Aditya Women’s College achieved second prize and Loyola College, Vijayawada achieved third prize. P.R. College Lecturers Mr. Maachi Raju, Dr. J.P.N.R.Reddy, Mr. P.V.Ramana, Ch.V.V.Satyavani, Mr. Ch.M.Hanumantharao and others participated.
