 Bangalore, Oct 6th:    Indian former captain Sourav Ganguly declared his retirement from tests after the end of the four-match series against Australia which will began on October 9.  In the pre match press conference Ganguly said that this is going to be his last series and he decided to quit from the test matches and these four matches are going to be his last matches in the cricket career.

    36 year old left handed batsman Sourav Ganguly having played international cricket for more than 12 years and gone to be the most successful captain of India, also had bitter time for many cricketing reasons.  As being a great batsman no one expected him to walk away into sunset in this shocking manner. Every one was surprised and there is a pin drop silence in the conference hall.

     Indian cricket team under his captaincy played 49 tests and 21 ODI. Ganguly crossed nearly 10,000 runs in his ODI career of which only 7 batsmen had reached this milestone.

     Many former criketers placed their view regarding Ganguly and his retirement. Azaruddin said” I was shocked by his announcement and he has lot to play. I expected more career for him and this would change the mind set of senior cricketers”.

Abduct letter to Ganguly: 

Meanwhile, Ganguly received a letter to his Behala residency saying that they would kidnap his daughter sana. Apart from this abduct they demanded amount of Rs 2 crores. The cops were doing investigation regarding this.
