On occasion of Sankranti (Pongal) festival, the district authorities have decided to conduct the 3-days Beach festival in Kakinada beach from 10th to 12th of January, 2014. According to this, the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad, Rural MLA Mr. Kannababu and Joint Collector Mr. Mutyala Raju have conducted a review meet with all the respective officials here on Wednesday at Collectorate court hall in Kakinada. Speaking on this, the district Collector stated that the beach fest was conducted with expenses of Rs.52 lakhs in the last year and now more funds are to be released this year to conduct the fest grandly. She ordered the officials to do all the necessary arrangements to the fest without providing any inconvenience to the public. She remembered them to concentrate on traffic issues while doing the arrangements. DRO Mr. Yadagiri, DWMA PD Mr. Mallibabu and others participated in the program.
