Bangaru Thalli for every Girl Child

District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has stated that every girl child should be treated as 'Bangaru Thalli', by implementing the scheme efficiently in the District. Yesterday, she has participated as the Chief guest to the Medical & Health awareness program, which was held at Kakinada Jagannaickpur Yetimoga Urban Health Center (UHC). Reliance Foundation, District Medical & Health department jointly conducted this program under the chairmanship of Additional DM & HO Dr. Pavan Kumar. Firstly, the District Collector has started the program by lighting the lamp (jyothiprajwalana). Later, speaking on this, she said that every individual should take special care about their health and stated that the State Government has introduced many health schemes to women, which will be applicable from the period of pregnancy to 14yrs age of their child. She appreciated the Reliance foundation for doing social activities. I.C.D.S Project Director Nirmala, D.P.O Mr. Sridhar Reddy, Dy Collector Mr. Govinda Rajulu, Additional Commissioner Satyaveni, D.I.O Dr. Murali Krishna, M.H.O Mr. Madhusudhan Prasad, Kakinada C.D.P.O Savithri, Reliance Foundation Representatives and others participated in the program.
