Bandh peaceful in KKD

Kakinada, Dec 19th: The bandh organized by agitators for Samaikya Andhra was total peaceful in the district head quarters city of Kakinada and surrounding areas. For the first time in the present agitation, various sections in collectorate were closed and wore a deserted look on Saturday. Various other offices in the collectorate premises also remained closed. The activists also forced the closure of industrial houses including NFCL, Coromandal and other industries on Saturday.

The RTC buses did not ply. Schools and colleges remained closed. The cinema theaters suspended noon and matinée shows. The auto-rickshaw services were also withdrawn till evening. Commuters to the near by places had to wait till evening to get some mode of transport. Meanwhile, the relay fast camp being organized by joint party action committee in which several leaders participated entered 8th day on Saturday. A procession was organized in which large number of fisherflock and workers affiliated to various organization participated.
