Bandh Paralyses EG for Fourth Day

The Employees JAC conducted huge protest in the district, on Saturday as a part of the fourth day of Samaikyandhra bandh, taking serious exception to the statement of Telanganga Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K.Chandrasekhara Rao that employees of Andhra origin would have to return to Andhra region after division of the state.

All the Government & Private employees are serious about the KCR's statement. Speaking on this, the JAC stated 'It is highly objectionable that no one from the state government has condemned the remarks of KCR. We demand that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy himself come out and make a statement on the issue'.

District Collector has forced to stay in their bungalow on Saturday by cancelling all the reviews following the flash strike of the NGOs. The protestors laid seige to the residence of Union Human Resources Development Minister Mr. M.M.Pallam Raju in Kakinada, demanding his resignation from the Union cabinet. A huge number of employees from the district participated in the protest.

Educational Institutions and Businesses were closed for the day. On other side, the Cable Operators joined the protests for Samaikhyandhra by blocking the Telecast. They have decided to stop the cable operations in all the major areas in the district on Sunday, in support of Samaikyandhra bandh.

Some other Politicians and public representatives from the district announced their resignations. The fourth day strike was observed in the district. These protests will be continued, sources said.
