Bail given to Kovvur MLA

Eluru, August 3rd: The Kovvur Telugu Desam MLA, Mr. T.V Rama Rao who was arrested last month on charges of attempting to rape girl student in the nursing college owned by him was granted with conditional bail by the district court at Eluru on Monday. The petition which was postponed twice came up for hearing on Monday. The Judge T. Bhaktavastalam granted bail to the MLA on conditions of two sureties and a personal assurance of Rs 10,000 by the MLA.

 

In addition to this the MLA will have to come in person at the concerned police station at Nidadavolu every day between 5pm to 6pm. However the condition was relaxed till the completion of the present Assembly Session. The bail will come into force from Tuesday after fulfilling the conditions laid down by the court. Meanwhile the case filed by CBCID in the designated court at Eluru has also come up for hearing.
