Babu and KCR met Governor

Hyderabad, Dec 29th: Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu on Dec 29 met Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan, who was sworn-in as the Governor on Dec 28. Telangana Rashtra Samithi President K Chandrasekhar Rao, along with the Chairman of the Joint Action Council, spearheading the Telangana movement also met the Governor.

Mr. Naidu conveyed his regards to Mr. Narasimhan and reportedly discussed the present political situation in the state and the ongoing agitation on Telangana issue. Later, the TRS President, along with the JAC members met the Governor and submitted a memorandum on the cases booked against the students and the lawyers of the Telangana region who were on agitation demanding the Union government to announce a time frame for a separate state.

Mr. Rao said the JAC had decided to observe a bandh on Dec 30 in a peaceful manner demanding opening of the hostels and direction to the police department to identify any outsiders staying in the hostels and take action against them. He warned that the people of Telangana would not take it the government tried to suppress their agitation.
