Kakinada, March 16th: Awareness rally on drugs control has been flagged off by the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare minister Pilli Subhas Chandra Bose to create awareness among the people on the importance of drugs control and detection of substandard drugs. Addressing a function organized by the Kakinada Chemists and Druggists Association, he advised the druggists to correctly follow the prescriptions and verify the drugs before supplying to the patients.
The Minister also asked the drug control administration authorities to be vigilant and keep a constant watch on the flow of substandard and fake drugs. ZP chairman Ch S Venugopalakrishna and City MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy, who participated in the function, expressed serious concern over substandard drugs entering the market and posing a threat to the health of people. Somu Prasad, Honorary President of the association presided over the function.
