Kakinada, Jan 29^th: Aiming to extend its services to villages and all other rural areas Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has announced discounts on its broadband services. BSNL principal general manager, Rajiv Agarwal has declared this at an awareness program organized at local Venkateswara function hall here on Thursday. The program is all about creating awareness among the customers and non-customers about the broadband services. In addition to the awareness program, registration for broadband connections and issue of mobile SIM cards was also taken up by the BSNL authorities.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Agarwal said that, the arrangements were made to provide the services to the customers with in 3 days from the date of application from mid-February 2009. Rajahmundry general manager Mr. G Raghavendra Rao also presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion he said that BSNL has newly introduced BSNL Vennela Prepaid SIM. With this scheme the BSNL customers can use the telephone services from 9.30pm to 7.30am at a cost of 20paisa per minute. He also disclosed that the customers can avail the facility of wireless internet services. DMG Mr. G.V Manoj Kumar, Rama Krishna and others participated in the program.
