The District Educational Authority has conducted an awareness seminar on 'Online Progress Cards' here on Tuesday, at Ambedkar Bhavan in Kakinada. The program was held under the Chairmanship of District Educational Officer (DEO) Mr. K. V. Srinivasula Reddy. Speaking on this, the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad as the Chief Guest, stated that 'this online method is very much useful for parents because they can watch their childrens study progress from anywhere in the world'. She said, this online progress cards system is only for those students, who are studying in Government schools in the District. Unit tests, Quarterly, Half-yearly and Annual examination reports of all the students will be available in this official website, she added. Parents can search by school for their children marks in the website, she noticed. She stated that this system is implemented for the first time in the state. Later, DEO Mr. K. V. Srinivasula Reddy has stated that the progress details of around 2.20 Lakh students from 6th to 10th standards are updated in the site with the help of NIC. MLC Mr. Chaitanya Raju, State NIC Officer Mr. Usman, Progress Card creator & NIC Scientist Mr. Subbarao, Social Welfare Dept JD Mr. Ramarao, VIKASA PD Mr. Murthy, Dy DEO Mr. D.Nageswara Rao, Mr. Abraham, Ganga Bhavani and others participated in the program.
