For storage of more quantities of water and favorably utilizing the water available, an action plan must be prepared for linking all tanks in the high-land and agency areas instructed District Collector M.Ravi Chandra to officials of Irrigation Department. Addressing an awareness meeting on irrigation projects on Saturday, Collector said a proposal for linking the tanks would be sent to the government for necessary approvals. Financial assistance on the basis of the action plan which shall contain the extent of fields irrigated by each tank and expenditure that it would meet under the proposed project. A full fledged review meeting would be conducted in 15 days to know the stock of water availability in the tanks and their utilization he added.
