Aqua Farmers awareness meet has been conducted here on Friday in the topic of 'Assessment of Training Needs & Possible Academic Partnership' at Central Institute of Fisheries (CIFE) in Kakinada. According to this, All India Hatcheries Association President Mr. L.Tikku has participated as a chief guest to the meet. He said, Aqua culture industry is earning Rs.20,000 crores income per annum but still it is being neglected by this Government. He grieved that the lack of government awareness on hatcheries, farmers getting loss in this field. Government have to take necessary actions to develop the department to give economical support to the aqua farmers. Aqua culture industry is having good recognisation in other countries compare to India. Universities should start researches on Fisheries to invent new things in the field, he added. He stated that students should aware about Aqua field, so that schools & colleges should make it as a part of their education, he added. Later, Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Project Director  Mr. Sitarama Raju stated that ATMA is always with farmers to give complete support. Senior Scientist Mr. S.Rajvi, College Principal Mr. S.K.Reddy, Technical Officer Mr. Ravisankar Patnaick, Mr. P.Rami Reddy, Mr. Phani Prasad, T.Rajya Lakshmi, Fisheries Department Officer Anjali Devi and huge number of aqua farmers were participated in the meet.
