Kakinada, April 26th: An awareness camp was organized for the farmers to educate them about the latest techniques in agriculture so as to increase their farm output in the present Kharif season. The agricultural department organized a meeting at local Krishi Bhavan on Saturday. The Andhra Pradesh micro irrigation project director, Mr Manihar Rao, assistant horticulture, Mr. B Srinivasulu, fisheries deputy director, Mr. Prasad and other attended.
Speaking on the occasion, the joint director of agriculture, Mr T.Nandaiah called upon the agriculture scientists to educate the farmers with best methods of agriculture so as to increase the crop production and come out with good profits in the present Kharif season. He asked the agricultural staff to organize awareness camps when needed. He also said that supervising authorities were appointed to over see the implementation of this program at revenue division level in East Godavari.
