AU PG center to start new courses

Kakinada, Jan 24th: The Andhra University MSN Postgraduate Center in Atchampeta in Kakinada rural mandal in East Godavari will start two new PG courses in social work and psychology from the 2010-11 academic year. The center which was started more than a decade ago was catering to the needs of students from economically weaker sections in a big way. In addition to this, the PG center administration is planning to increase the number of seats in some courses from the present 40 to 50 seats.

The PG center administration has initiated measures to start hostel facility to cater to the needs of male students studying in the PG campus. Prof.Rajendra Karmarker special officer of the PG center, said that the Andhra University vice-chancellor, Prof B. Satyanarayana, during his recent visit to the PG center, agreed to start two engineering courses in engineering computers and EEE. Prof. Karmarkar said that the PG center wants to take up the new courses to suit the changing needs of both industrial and academic sectors in addition of social needs.
