Staff working in Andhra University PG Center made an attempt to murder the Security guard working in the same college. Meka Babu Rao, resident of Pallamkurruku, Katrenikona Mandal is living in Nagamallithota Junction from past few days. AU PG Center has appointed him as Security Guard 6 months back. According to colleagues, Babu Rao had complained against cook several times on stolen of articles, which are of daily use in hostel. Therefore, police doubt that the cook might make this attempt. Police stated that cook along with another stranger noticed that Babu Rao was alone at midnight 1pm. They poured petrol on him and attempted to kill him. Few local people observed this and immediately extinguish the fire and shifted him to Government General Hospital, Kakinada. Timmapuram SI Sudhakar Singh is investigating on this.
