Tadepalligudem, April 18th: Some persons belonging to Praja Rajyam Party attacked on film actress Kavitha who was taking rest in her room in a hotel on Saturday. The actress was here to take part in electioneering to support the candidature of Telugu desam nominee, Mr. Mullapudi Bapiraju who was contesting for Tadepalligudem Assembly seat. Kavitha along with the supporters and leaders of TDP went to police station and lodged complaint against P. Madhu and others who were the supporters of Praja Rajyam.
According to the complaint lodged by Kavitha, some persons in drunken state knocked her room door in the afternoon and abused her and asked her to giveup the campaign. She also stated that the men have also attacked her kin in the room and also the driver.
Later the actress along with the TD leaders staged dharna at Dr. B.R Ambedkar statue at Police Island Center and raised slogans against PRP. They denounced the rowdyism of PRP.
