Kakinada, March 28^th: For the fore coming Assembly and Parliament polls that are scheduled to be conducted in the district on April 16 and 23rd, the district election authorities are making elaborate arrangements. Besides this, additional responsibility was given to the authorities to look after the smooth conduct of poll counting in East Godavari district which was scheduled to be conducted on May 16. According to the reliable sources the centralized counting system is likely to be implemented for the first time. Counting of all the Assembly segments and Parliament constituencies will be conducted at selected centers in Kakinada.

With the orders given by the election commission to conduct poll counting at one place by applying the system of randomization, the authorities are forced to go in search of spacious buildings in Kakinada. Revenue divisional officer, Mr. G.C Kishore Kumar has visited JNTU University, Government ITI, RMC and Andhra Polytechnic to look after the buildings and space over there. Nearly 38 rooms with each room accommodating 15 tables are required for counting. In order to avoid the leak of information over the allotment of counting centers, the poll staff will be known the identity of the poll center just before the counting takes place, sources said.
