Kakinada, Mar 15th: All the arrangements were done by the educational authorities for organizing SSC exams in the district. The exams are scheduled to be conducted from March 23 to April 6. Nearly 80, 301 students are going to appear for the exams and out of these 58,023 will appear as regular students and the remaining will appear as private candidates. The authorities have set up 253 exam centers for regular students and 96 centers for private candidates. The exam centers are divided into A, B, C categories and 62 centers fall under A category, 205 fall under B category and 82 fall under C category.
3,490 squads and 698 special squads were appointed to keep a check on the students appearing for the exams. All these squads will be covering the total 349 centers in the district. Private and aided school students are prohibited in wearing school dresses during the time of exams. Students are also prohibited from wearing school badges and carrying cell phones into the exam centers. This year the roll number system was completely eliminated and system of bar code was introduced. Authorities believe that all kids of mass copying and mall practices can be reduced to a grater extend with this new system. Measures were also taken to avoid power cut during the exams.
