Army job rally from today

Kakinada, Nov 1st: The stage is set for the open army recruitment rally which is scheduled to be held from today to November 8 here. Army personnel have already invited all eligible candidates of six districts and Yanam for posts in five categories. Selections will he held at the Districts Sports Authority stadium and the Grounds of JNTU-K. In a release, the director of the Visakhapatnam Army office, Colonel Tushar Roy, said that the rally is a golden opportunity for the candidates who sought enrollment into the Army.

Mr. Roy said that candidates aged between 20 and 25 years, hailing from the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Vizag, East and West Godavari and Khammam districts and Yanam were allowed to participate in the rally. The rally includes verification of certificates, 1.6 km run, pull-ups and medical tests. Nearly 50 Army Personnel will monitor the rally where eligible candidates will be selected for posts in the categories of soldier tradesman, soldier, general duty, soldier technical, soldier clerk and soldier nursing assistants. Preliminary screening will be done at the District Sports Authority stadium and medical test of candidates who qualified in preliminary screening would be at the rally site from Nov 4.
