District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has announced that the last date for the enrollment of License for fishes and prawns breeding modernization works in the district is 16th of June. Yesterday, she has participated in district level committee meeting, which is arranged by Fisheries department at Collectorate court hall. Speaking on this, she stated that the Aqua farmers should enroll before 16th June to get the license for breeding of fishers & prawns in canals. She noticed that the farmers who have not enrolled for license, are strictly not eligible for this farming. Notices will be sent to those farmers according to the government order, she said. She asked the Tahsildars to list out the non licensed farmers in the district. Aqua Farmers should breed the fishes & prawns in drinking water according to GO's 7 & 15, she stated. Farmers should enroll by paying Rs.700/- processing fee for each acre before 16th of June, she added. Incharge DRO Mr. Subbarao, DD Mr. Venkateswarulu, Pollution Control Board EE Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Irrigation Dept EE, RDO's, District Aqua Farmers and Fisheries department officials were participated in the meeting.
