The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Department of Youth Affairs, invites applications/nominations for National Youth Award for the year 2009-10 from eligible individuals and non-governmental organizations. Addressing media persons Chief Organizing Director of Welfare Department K.Satyanarayana said that award to individuals will comprise a medal, a scroll, and Rs.40,000/- and award to voluntary youth organization will comprise a medal, a scroll and Rs. 2,00,000/- cash. Individual candidates who can apply must be young persons aged between 13 – 35 years and must achieve excellence in the field of national or social service for 3 years. The total text of the Scheme of National Youth Award (2009-10) and the format for applications can be accessed/ downloaded from the Ministry’s website www.yas.nic.in. The eligible interested persons/organizations are requested to submit their nominations/applications at the District Youth Welfare Office before 25th of this month.
