Only 32,958 candidates of the 72,200 applicants from East Godavari District, i.e. 45.3% of them appeared for the Group-IV examination conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission on Sunday. The examination was held in 235 centers in 57 towns and villages across the District. Section 144 of the Indian Penal Code was promulgated at all the Examination Centers. District Revenue Officer and Coordinator of the examination, Mr. S. Venkata Rao expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the examination and thanked all those who contributed towards the conducting of the examination peacefully in the District.
