Visakhapatnam, Sep 20th: The Apex Group on September 20 started a new division to facilitate world class infrastructure to handle every aspect of food. The Apex Group Chairman N Rama Rao said here, this is a well proven system worldwide to increase output, reduce damages and balances supply demand patterns. Through this system, 500 acres had been brought under vegetable cultivation at Salur in Vizianagaram District, he added.
Mr Rao said, ‘‘Infrastructure was created to achieve quality and cost effective product to provide consumers with Farm Fresh vegetables and fruits.'' The Chairman said the initiatives were categorized into Farming Storage and Processing, Marketing and Distribution, to bring out best quality products and to create direct and indirect employment in rural backward areas in line with the objectives of the state government.
