AP to get new postal services soon

Hyderabad, July 22nd: The Indian Post AP Circle will shortly start evening delivery of speed post in Hyderabad from August. Hyderabad will be the first city in the nation to have this facility. In addition to this, it’s also going to start 100 logistic postal centers in the state by the year end. Chief Postmaster General AP Circle, Mr. K.V Sundar Rajan said on Wednesday that Indian Post is innovating and initiating various business development activities.

 

As many as 14,727 post offices in AP have been paying the wage earners of the National Employment Guarantee Scheme. From the August, 400 post offices in state will start booking services of railway tickets, air tickets and even bus tickets to various destinations in the country. The post offices in state will also be authorized to sell foreign exchanges and exchange currency as well. In addition to that, 15 new post offices will start selling gold coins. There are 52 post offices in the nation that sells the coin.

 

“It is our continuous endeavour to widen the range and improve the quality of our products and services with major innovations and inductions to technology” adds Mr. Rajan.
