Andhra Pradesh Education and Welfare Infrastructure Development Corporation (APEWIDC) Project Manager Mr. J.V.S.K.T Prabhakar Rao here on Thursday stated that the construction works of AP Model School (Aadarsha Patashala) buildings for 2012-13 academic year is under process in the state. He has visited Kakinada here on Thursday and later he participated in a press meet held at Collectorate. Speaking on this, he said, total 300 model school buildings are going to be constructed in the State by June, 2011. Every building is being constructed with an expense of Rs. 3.02 Crores including special Hostel facility for girls, he added. He said, Government has released notification for 355 model school buildings for the first time in the state by identifying 737 illiterate mandals in the state. These model schools are for 6th to Intermediate standard students of English medium, he added.
