Another bandh for united Andhra

Kakinada, Jan 3rd: People of the Godavari districts will witness another bandh in favor of Samaikya Andhra on Monday. The Samaikya Andhra Joint Action Committee (SJAC) of various student unions and political parties from the 13 districts of Rayalaseema and Coastal Andhra regions gave a call for bandh for which most of the Telugu Desam leaders expressed support. The TD leaders were instructed to ensure that the bandh was observed peacefully in the district with the support of people from all walks of life.

The objective of the bandh is to exert pressure on the Center not to take a decision in favor of bifurcation of the state at its proposed meeting in New Delhi on January 5. The senior leader and the former minister, Mr. Chikkala Ramachandra Rao, told  to media that the TD was fully supporting the bandh. It is also observed that the JAC would organize rail roko on January 5 after the completion of bandh in favor of United Andhra Pradesh.
