District wide Anganwadi workers and Aayas conducted Dharna here on Monday at ICDS PD Office demanding to settle down their pending problems. This protest was conducted in association with AP Anganwadi Workers & Helpers Union District Department. Anganwadis across the district took part in this in protest. On this, Association District President G.Baby Rani addressed in the dharna. She submitted the appeal letter to officers requesting to solve the problems of Anganwadi staff.
They demanded to promote Aayas as workers those with minimum 10th qualification. Rice transport charges, pending salaries, promotion of workers as supervisors are few of the other demands. Later, members of the association later conveyed their demands to ICDS PD Mr. Kameswaramma through phone. In this program, IDWA State Leader T.Savitri, CITU Member Medisetty Venkata Ramana, Association District chief Secretary M. Veera Laxmi and others were present.
