Union Minister of Human Resources Development (HRD) Dr. M.M.Pallam Raju stated 'Women should be Healthy and Intellectual'. Yesterday, he has participated in the Inauguration program of Anganwadi Afternoon Lunch (Madhyahna Bojanam) Scheme, at Recharlapeta Municipal Social Welfare Bhavan in Kakinada. The program was held under the chairmanship of ICDS Project Director M.J.Nirmala. Addressing the program. Dr. Pallam Raju has suggested the women to stop watching daily serials in TV channels, because serials are not promoting good things in these days, that he felt. Later, State Stamps & Registrations Minister Mr. Thota Narasimham said 'Anganwadi Afternoon Lunch (Madhyahna Bojanam) scheme is a very good scheme, which helps the poor families'. Around 1 Lakh poor children from 4000 Anganwadi centers in the district, were beneficiated with this scheme, he added. 'Children with an age between 3yrs to 6yrs should use this Afternoon Lunch scheme, so that parents should bring their children to Anganwadi centers', he called. Later, they have distributed the Nutritious food packets to the pregnent women.
