Indian Pharmaceutical Association Chairman, Dr. C.Gopala Krishna Murthy stated that Andhra Pradesh is in the top position in country in Pharmacy Education. Dr. Murthy inaugurated the seminar ‘Career Prospects on Pharmacy’ at Pydah Pharmacy College here on Sunday. College Principal Dr. N.Anbalagan presided over the seminar. Speaking on this, Chairman stated that of 1000 colleges in country, we have 208 colleges in Andhra Pradesh itself. There is a high opinion on Pharmacy Education in recent days, he added. In the production of Indian drugs, 45% of the drugs are being exported to foreign countries. Proposal has been sent to Central Government to introduce 6-years course of Pharma-D and due to this Doctor-in-philosophy can be achieved he added. College Chairman Mr. P.Kanaka Raju, Vikas Pharmacy Chairman Mr. G.Vijay Kumar, Administrator of Educational Institutions Mr. Ravindra Reddy and others were present.
