Srisailam said on Monday that the state government was not taking effective measures for the welfare of inmates of welfare hostels in the state. Participating in the meeting organized at district party office, he alleged that the tribal, backward class and other women staying in the hostels are facing many problems due to lack of minimum facilities in the hostels. Nearly 30 percent of the hostels were not even being supplied protected water, he added.
