Kakinada, April 13th: All the measures and necessary precautions were taken by the election authorities for the smooth conduct of phase I polls in the district. Rampachodavaram Assembly segment and parliament constituency is going for polls on April 16. Arrangements for the same were done to avoid any kind of disturbances during the day. Arrangements were also taken by the authorities to run special buses for the polling staff as a measure to avoid inconvenience for them. The buses will be operating from April 14 and April 15 for carrying the staff.
The Rampachodavaram segment falls under Araku Parliamentary constituency which covers seven agency mandals of Maredumilli, Devipatnam, Y. Ramavaram, Addateegala, Gangavaram, Rampachodavaram and Rajavommangi. The candidates who were in fray for this assembly segment are Mr. K.V.V Satyanarayana Reddy from Congress, Mr. Chinnam Babu Ramesh from TDP, Mr. Sitamsetty Venkateswara Rao from PRP and other independent candidates. All the contestants are hoping for their success.
