Kakinada, Feb 8^th: For the Elections to the East and West Godavari teacher’s constituency MLC seat organized on Friday, the elections authorities has made all the arrangements for counting.  The counting is going to take place in local JNTU College from 8 am. The ballet boxes from all 112 polling stations have reached the JNTU College on Friday and the authorities have deposited them in the strong room. Nearly 11, 679 votes were polled and the counting will take place in 14 tables arranged for the same in 8 rounds. The results are likely to be announced by the end of the day.

The polls turned to be prestigious as many of political parties are extending their support to the contestants. Out of the 9 contestants in fray, the main competition is likely to exist between the UTF president Subash Chandra Bose, Jacto and congress supported contestant Chaitanya Raju and the East Godavari Headmaster’s Association president Mr. Ijjana Satyanarayana. UTF supporters are more confident of Mr. Bose winning the elections as they have major support from the teachers. The election authorities have arranged all the police protection to avoid disturbances during counting.
