All arrangements were done by the district authorities for Kakinada Beach Festival, which is going to be celebrated from 11th to 13th of January at Vakalapudi beach in Kakinada. According to this, Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad and Rural MLA Mr. Kanna Babu are taking special care and directly reviewing these arrangements. According to the sources, Electricity, Furniture, special Stalls and all other necessary amenities were arranged for the fest. Around 10 Panchayati offices staff were working for these arrangements, according to the Collector's order. Special attention to the festival is the presence of Chief Minister Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Tourism Minister Mr. K. Chiranjeevi to start the festival and many other famous personalities. Some of the special attractions are noticed here;
Flower Exhibition: Around 250 different types of flower plants are to be exhibited in 20 stalls on the fest by the famous Kadiyapulanka Nurseries. Various exported varieties of flowers are also to be exhibited in this fest. This program is conducting under the chairmanship of Indian Nurseries Association Vice President Mr. Pulla Veera Venkata Rao.
Beach Park, Sculpture Park & Shilparamam: Beach Park, Sculpture Park and Shilparamam were arranged in around 10 acres area at Vakalapudi beach premises by the district authorities. As a part of the beach fest, these parks will be inaugurated on the same day by Chief Minister, Tourism Minister and HRD Minister here. According to this, till now around 25 idols were arranged on Shilparamam.
Speaking on this, District Collector Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad has stated that the motto of the beach festival was to draw tourists to the district and to attract attention at the State and national-level as well. She said that the arrangements were made for the beach festival are to show the world: history, culture and tourism attractions of East Godavari district.
