Kakinada Ganesh Utsav Committee has made all the arrangements for the immersion of Ganesh idols in the City, with the help of District Administration. The immersion would be held Today, ie., 18th September at Upputeru canal near Jagannaickpur bridge in Kakinada. The committee announced that about 80 big idols and 180 small idols can be immersed in the ghat on Wednesday. According to this, the police have given special instructions to the Ganesh pandal organisers for peaceful and smooth completion of the program. Speaking on this, Cirlce Inspector Mr. G. Devakumar has said that the organisers should take the Ganesh idols processions through Mainroad from Old Jagannaickpur bridge to reach immersion ghat. They can return either via Temple street or Cinemahall road, he added. Six swimmers, lighting and sanitation were arranged in the ghat.
