All arrangements were made for the nine-day Ganapathi Navarathri Festival celebrations, which will be started from 9th September (Monday) in Kakinada. Sources said, there was a tough competition among the Utsav committees in the town in celebrating the Chavithi right from installation of big Vinayaka idols to scheduling the nine-day celebrations with several cultural activities. The Ganesh Puja venues are also likely to be used for the agitation, hence all possible precautions are being taken by the police in the city. However, the police and municipal authorities have told the organisers that they would be responsible for any violation of guidelines regarding sound pollution till the immersion procession of Vinayaka idols gets completed.
