Kakinada, May 12th: Elaborate arrangements are being made for the smooth conduct of Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (Eamce-2009) in the Kakinada region on May 14. The authorities have set up 46 centers in the region for both engineering and medical streams. Out of which 36 are set for engineering and 6 centers are set for medical streams. Engineering exam will be conducted in the morning session from 10am while the medicine test will be conducted in the afternoon session from 2.30pm.
According to the Eamcet regional coordinator and JNTU principal, Dr. E.V Prasad, 14, 867 students will appear for engineering and 2,592 from medical will appear for the test. He appealed to students to be present half-an-hour before the scheduled time at the allotted centers so as to reduce the rush during the exam time. He revealed that the question papers were safely stored in the strong rooms and asked the cooperation of the police authorities to provide security for the same.
Mr. Prasad also sought the cooperation from the APSRTC authorities to run bus in time to avoid inconvenience to the students. He asked the students who were allotted the KIET center at Koringa to utilize the special bus services from JNTU campus from 7am. Students who did not receive hall tickets can download the same from the website www.apeamcet.org.
