Kakinada, Feb 9th: AITUC State General Secretary Kirla Krishnarao said as part of the nationwide agitation programme, the State AITUC would launch satyagraha at all mandal, division and district levels with over 50,000 workers participating in support of the five major demands on March five.
He told mediapersons here on Wednesday that all the major trade unions, including INTUC, BMS, AITUC, HMS and the CITU would participate in the Satyagraha to fight for the cause of workers in both organised and unorganised sectors. The major demands include effective measures to control the spiraling prices and streamlining public distribution system giving more teeth to the enforcing authority under the Essential Commodities Act to crack down on blackmarketeers.
