Kakinada, Feb 27th: East Godavari district medical and health authorities are making all the arrangement to create awareness among the people about AIDS. As a part of this the authorities in association with the AP State Aids Control Society has taken up a 40 day awareness program in the district. Additional medical and health officer Mr. M. Pavan Kumar has waved the flag and initiated the program on Friday. The program was inaugurated at health office premises.
According to the information given by Mr. Pavan Kumar, two mobile vehicles were arranged by the authorities that will tour in the district and create awareness among the people about AIDS in the form of kala Jatas. The authorities have recognized nearly 160 places in the district to organize these jatas twice in a day. 50 agency places were also recognized by the authorities. The vehicles will display details of services available for the prevention of the disease. Para Medical Officer K. Venkateswara Rao, Kesava Krishna, Vera Lakshmi and other participate.
