All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) called for the Strike against to the Banking Law amendments on 20th of December. According to this, Association District Leader Mr. Adi Narayana Murthy had released a press note here on Monday. He said the proposed amendments to the banking law were aimed at effecting merger of banks, allowing more private and foreign capital in banks, and upping the ceiling on voting rights. Further, the amendments will enable the central bank to grant licenses to corporate business houses to start their new banks. This protest will be conducted infront of the Andhra Bank Zonal Office in Kakinada.
