Kakinada, Jan 13th: The youth festival celebrations were organized by Andhra University on 11th and 12th of January. The festival was organized at Space Degree College, Tuni. Students from various colleges all over the district has participated in the competitions held on the occasion. BBM student of Aditya Degree College, T. Veerababu has bagged the first prize for his excellent performance in the one act play. His show got a huge response from the audience. College principal B.E.V.L Naidu has congratulated Veerababu for his victory.
District stood first in the fest:
East Godavari district NSS unit stood first in the youth festival celebrations organized at Tuni on Monday. NSS students from five districts have participated in the competitions held under 13 events. According NSS programme officer, Dr. P. V. Krishna Rao, district stood first by bagging maximum number of prizes in the competition. He said that the students excelled in electrocution, instrumental music, poster painting, solo songs, one act play, mimicry and other competitions.
Special recognition was gained by the youth festival due to the welfare programs and blood camps organized by the students. Andhra University vice chancellor B. Satyanarayana has congratulated and distributed prizes for the winners participated under different events.
