Hyderabad, Oct 14^th:  TV 5 journalist Karim was badly attacked by his brother- in- law and father-in-law with acid on Tuesday morning in his apartment. His second wife Sireesha’s father and brother hit him with hammer on the head and attacked with acid allegedly.

    Sireesha called for ambulance and took him to the apollo hospital.  Doctors said that 30% of Karim body was burnt and due to acid attack there are very little chances to get his vision back, and they could say about the condition of the patient only after 76 hours of intensive care.

    According to the sources it is known that, karim married Sireesha, a TV anchor in March 2008. Sireesha changed her name to Noor after marriage. Sireesha’s parents were unhappy with the marriage as karim was already married and having problems with his first wife. Sireesha's father Sambasiva Rao and her brother Sharat had gone to Kareem’s house in Yousufguda to settle the family matter were the incident took place

    Sambhasiva Rao is saying that he want to bring back their daughter back to their home as Karim was already married. He said that Karim attacked on them first with the acid bottle where both the son and father also have acid burns on the hands and legs and were treated as out patients at Apollo hospital.

    Based on the complaint given by Kareem’s  wife and Sireesha, police arrested Sireesha’s father and her brother. The SR Nagar inspector, Mr. D Pratap filed a charge sheet.
