Good News to LPG consumers, no need to link your Aadhaar ID with banks now. The government has de-linked the gas subsidy from Aadhaar card and bank accounts for the sake of consumers in view of the coming general elections in the state. So the Aadhaar-less LPG scheme was started implementing by the gas authorities followed by the distributors here from Yesterday ie., 10th of March on-wards. According to the sources, domestic LPG consumers across the State will pay just the subsidised cost price of Rs. 441 per cylinder without depending on the Aadhaar card link up to the bank accounts for reimbursement of the remaining amount. Consumers can avail 12 subsidised cylinders in a year & pay market price for 13th cylinder onwards. Those who have already booked for a cylinder and getting it before 10th of March will have to pay the non-subsidised price of Rs. 1,200 asusually. Presently, it is applicable for two companies, they are BPC & HPC. Still the IOC company consumers are applicable for the subsidy linking. However, the consumers taking breathe freely after this announcement.
