Anganwadi workers (AWWs) from different places in the district staged a 36hours protest in front of the Collectorate here on Monday. This protest is against the Government demanding to solve their problems here on Monday. Anganwadi’s turned in large numbers and demanded the Government to provide job security for them and also to abolish the GO No: 55 as they would subject them to political harassment. Speaking on this, Union Leaders grieved that Government is looking to shut the Anganwadi centers by starting new ‘Balabadi’ centers under this GO. In support to Anganwadi's, Union Leaders Babirani, Veeralakshmi, Paparao, Krishnaveni, Lakshmanarao, T.S.Prakash, Surendra, Satyanarayana and other members participated in the protest.
