District Collector, Mrs. Neethu Kumari Prasad has started the 3-day training program for Marine Police here on Monday at SIFT in Kakinada. Around 50 personnel were attended for this training from total nine marine districts. Speaking on this, Collector stated that it is very much required to give training for Marine police, who always works to give protection to the public. She said that they are trying to gather a site for the East Coast Marine Training Institute in the district. Later, speaking on this, IGP Mr. Srinivasu Reddy has announced that fifteen more coastal security police stations are started in the state and the police staff recruitment also done for these stations, he added. He said that they had released a notification for total 150 coastal security home guards recruitment in the state. He called upon the fishermen, who are living in the villages near to marine areas, to use this opportunity. The tollfree 1093 number and AP Coastal Security official websites will be released soon, he added. Coast Guard Commandant Mr. S. N. Patnaick, DSP Mrs. Sai Sri, SIFT Vice Principal Mr. Basheer Ahmed, AD's, Customs Fire, Port, Health & Fishery department officials participated in the program.
