Joint Secretary for Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas Mr. Neeraj Mittal has conducted a video conference with all the district authorities, here on Wednesday. He has discussed about Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme with the officials. Speaking with media persons after this meet, the District Collector Mrs. Neetu Kumari Prasad has stated that total 9 cylinders will be supplied per year to every family, who have LPG gas connection. She said the consumers who have completed Aadhaar enrollment & seeding process under DBT scheme, will get permanent advance subsidy of Rs.435 to their bank account. This subsidy will be deposited once they have done their first booking, she noticed. 'After the first month, every family will be given Rs.399.96 subsidy for every month once they have done with their gas booking. At present, the 14.2 KG gas cylinder costs Rs.851, so that the consumers should pay Rs.851 to the dealer once they received gas, as they will get the subsidy amount to their bank account automatically', she stated. The consumers who haven't completed their aadhaar enrollment & seeding process before 31st of August, they will not get the subsidy from September month, she declared. Out of 9,13,638 gas consumers in the district, 6,34,704 were submitted aadhaar numbers and 3,89,486 linked their bank accounts to LPG for subsidy, she announced. She called upon the remaining consumers to complete the process as early as before 31st of August 2013, to get the gas subsidy.
